Satiate Your Cravings With Go Grill Samgyupsal

The pandemic has turned a lot of Pinoys into Kdrama-enthusiasts. And who can blame them? There was nothing else they can do at home other than enjoy the company with the whole family and take advantage of all the Korean dramas that are available through Netflix and other movie streaming sites. It’s funny how I see a lot of people on Facebook talking about CLOY. Who is CLOY? And soon I realized it was “Crash Landing On You”. I am not a huge fan of KDramas, but I have seen quite a few.

The love for these Koreanovela of Pinoys does not stop there. You may have noticed that about more two years ago, a lot of samgyupsal-themed restaurants mushroomed all over the city. And regardless of how long the customers have to wait in line, they would patiently wait for their turn just to be able to savor samgyupsal with their families and friends. My family have also experienced this and I think the cost of eating at any of these restaurants are worth the money simply because all of my kids and their cousins have a huge appetite!

The pandemic has caught us all by surprise. We thought that it would just go away in a few weeks, but it has actually paralyzed the whole world, thus everyone was told to just remain at home. Businesses had to close and it sure was a tough time for all entrepreneurs. However, being an entrepreneur, giving up is not that easy most especially if there are people relying on you. We saw how some of the fast-food restaurants offered their products online and were made available through delivery. I thought there was no other choice than the usual chicken, spaghetti, and pizza that kids love to order. The good thing was, there were other options which a lot of people started to love.

Go Grill Samgyupsal was born in April. It is owned by Ricel Mae Veneracion. She also owns a luxurious salon, The Lux Pad Manila situated in Timog. I knew she had a franchise food business but never thought that she would venture into another food business such as this. Eating at a Samgyupsal restaurant, you would probably be spending about 30 minutes to an hour of waiting and then another 2 hours eating (I got big boys. They can’t just stop at a few cuts of meat!) And since restaurants are closed during the community quarantine, the idea of having your favorite Korean Barbecue treat delivered to your home, is really exciting!

For the price of Php1500.00 ideal for 4-5 persons, you get all of these:

Actually, there are other businesses similar to Go Grill Samgyupsal’s concept, but so far, they offer more side dishes which are absolutely delicious. It is just like eating authentic Korean food. Practically, you experience the same as being at a restaurant. And yes, having this with the family at home becomes a bonding moment, too. The downside is just the smell of the smoke hovering the whole house! But, at least we were all filled up and super happy.

We had a grand time with our Korean Dinner. We actually saved some to let my mommy and daddy taste them too, the following day and had some sort of an instant party. Actually, we had Korean dinner for the next few days in our household because my boys just love them.

You cannot enjoy them without having an electric grill. Go Grill Samgyupsal happens to sell them, as well. So, if you wish to have a Korean Dinner with your family at home, don’t hesitate to check Go Grill Samgyupsal’s Facebook Page to order.

I was very surprised to know that with this small business that started in their home kitchen, they are now receiving about 80-100 orders a day! So better order yours ahead so you’d be sure to enjoy your Korean meal on your desired date.

The pandemic truly caused a huge hiccup in our lives, but somehow, it has allowed us to reflect on what are the most important things in life, have more time with our family, and I guess the Filipino ingenuity strikes when disruptions occur, such as the pandemic, which actually led to many startups and hopefully all of them can still exist even after the health crisis is over.

Hat’s off to Ricel! I have seen her perseverance in ensuring that all of her businesses flourish. I am so proud of how she has achieved so much at such a young age and has become a very successful mompreneur. And do hang on for her other new business to be launched soon! For sure there are still a lot in line for this strong, young lady!
